• Damodar Prasad Sharma, M.Com, LL.M, was born on October 10, 1949.
• Joined Judicial Service of Nepal as Section Officer at Supreme Court of Nepal in 1974.
• Appointed as a District Judge in 1975 and served as District Judge in different District Courts up to 1985. During this period he also served as Personal Secretary of the then Chief Justice of Nepal from 1984 to 1986.
• Appointed as a Zonal Court Judge in 1986 and worked at various Zonal Courts of Nepal up to 1991.
• After promulgation of the then Constitution of the Kingdom of Nepal, 1990, he was appointed Judge of Appellate Court in 1991 and served at various Appellate Court up to 2004. During this period he was also assigned as president of Revenue tribunal (1999 to 2002) and member of Special Court (2002 to 2003).
• Appointed Chief Judge of Appellate Court in 2004.
• Appointed as a Justice, Supreme Court of Nepal in 2005.
• Acting Chief Justice of Nepal from 14 March, 2013- 11 April, 2014.
