Hon'ble Justice Mr. Bharat Raj Upreti
- Born on July 8, 1950.
- After graduating in Commerce (B.Com) and Law (DL) from Tribhuwan University, did Master of Law (LL.M) from University of Pune, India
- Was enrolled as on Advocate by Supreme Court of Nepal in 1977(2033 B.S).
- Practised in the Supreme Court of Nepal on matter related to commercial and revenue law. Represented different national and multinational companies as counsel. Advised different multilateral agencies and Nepal government on legal aspects of corporate and financial sector reform project initiated by government of Nepal.
- Taught different subjects of commercial and constitutional Law at Tribhuwan University,Faculty of Law for 21 year.Took voluntary retirement on Feb 1995 as Associate Professor.
- The Supreme Court of Nepal awarded the title of Senior Advocate on 2008 ( 2065 B.S).
- Appointed as Ad-Hoc Justice of Supreme Court on 22nd Jan 2009 (9th , Magh 2065 B.S).
- Authored/Edited following books:-
b) Law Companies.(Now 2nd edition)
c) Introduction to Law of Insolvency.
d) Constitutional Law of Nepal (Editor).
